The challenge
Casa Alta is a white concrete house on a steep hillside, designed around the movement of light through the day. The architects needed images for awards, press and their own monograph — pictures that showed the idea, not just the building.
Our approach
We spent a day on site with only a notebook, mapping where the sun hit each wall hour by hour. The shoot followed that map over two days: facades at hard midday light against a deep blue sky, interiors in the soft hour after sunrise, the garden at dusk.

The series was shortlisted in the architecture category of an international photography award and published in six design magazines. The architects now use it as the opening chapter of their monograph.
