The challenge
Hotel Aster reopened after a careful renovation of warm plaster, oak and linen. Its booking photos were taken by the contractor on a phone, and they made a calm hotel look cold and empty.
Our approach
We stayed for four days and photographed the hotel the way a guest lives in it: the corridor glowing in the evening, the arches in morning light, a glass of wine by the window before dinner. Every room was styled with the hotel’s own objects — nothing brought in, nothing faked.

Direct bookings rose by 45% in the season after launch, and the new photographs now run across the hotel’s website, booking platforms and press kit.

Guests tell us the hotel looks exactly like the pictures. That is the best compliment we could get.
