The challenge
Kiln & Co. runs a ceramics studio, a shop and weekly classes. Each part had grown its own look, and none of them matched the quiet, earthy pots the studio is known for.
Our approach
We started with the maker’s stamp pressed into the base of every pot and built the identity outwards from it: a round monogram, a palette taken from the studio’s own glazes and a typeface with the softness of thrown clay. The photography shows hands, tools and glaze tests as much as finished pieces.
Throwing in the main studio.
Trimming a bowl foot.
Speckled stoneware cup.The result
Class bookings filled four months ahead for the first time, and the shop’s online sales grew by 60% in a year. The stamp now appears on every bag, card and window.
+60% online sales in a year
4 mo of classes booked ahead
1 stamp, everywhere
The brand finally looks like what we make with our hands.
