The challenge
Velour makes five products with short, honest ingredient lists. The skincare shelf is crowded with the same beige minimalism, and the founders worried that calm would read as forgettable. They also needed a launch shoot that could feed a year of social and wholesale content.
Our approach
We gave each product family one saturated colour and kept everything else quiet: frosted glass, a single typeface, labels printed in two inks. For the photography we painted paper backdrops by hand and shot every still life in daylight, so the colour you see on screen is the colour you get.
Day cream, painted paper set.
Rose mist.
Body lotion on linen.The result
The first batch sold out in eleven days. Two studio days produced a library of 140 images that still runs Velour’s website, wholesale catalogue and social channels a year later.
140 images from two studio days
4 new stockists in launch month
11 days until the first batch sold out
Every buyer asks who shot our photos. The answer is always the same.
